On to the Good Stuff...

As with everything, there is a right way and a wrong way to use these sites. If you don't use them right, you will be wasting your time. If you follow these super simple suggestions, you will be very happy with your results.

First a little background information:

A traffic exchange site is one where you and thousands of other people insert your url into a form and then everyone surfs everyone else's sites. For every site you surf you will earn credits. Each credit you earn will get your site viewed by someone who is doing the same thing you are.

Now, this may seem like a real waste of time if you think about it. You are only going to these other sites to get credits not to really see what someone else is offering. They are doing the same thing so where is the advantage to this type of traffic?

Will it Really Work?:

This is the trick the "gurus" use and they don't tell you about it. Maybe they are a little embarrassed that they are using such a simple technique to get traffic. It isn't the magic they talk about so they don't talk about this at all.

The fact is, they are using these sites. If they didn't deliver good results, do you think they would still be using them?

The Trick:

As you are surfing, you will see many different sites. Often these sites will try to talk to you and show you videos. Most often these pages will not completely load before your time is up and you are clicking on the next site. Don't make this mistake yourself.

Never play and music, audio of any kind or video of any kind on the page you create for these traffic exchange sites.

You have to remember that the potential visitor will only be looking at your site for 10 to 30 seconds. You have to get your point across and make them act in this 10 second time frame.

Never add any images, flash or banners to your page. Even if the page loads fast on your computer, you have to consider every ones situation is different. Some are on old computers or dial up connections.

Never give more than one choice on your page. Tell the visitor exactly what you want him or her to do.  Click Here Now!

You will want your page to follow this layout:

• Make sure the entire page fits above the fold. If the visitor has to scroll to see the rest of your page, it isn't likely he will get that far.

• State your offer clearly and in as few words as possible. Example:

• Always tell the visitor that clicking on your link will open a new window and make sure it does.

• Do Not put your sign-up form on this page, no one will take the time to fill it out while they are surfing.

• Make sure your ''Click Here" link sends them to your sign up page.

• Double check that your link on this page works and opens in a new window.

Once the visitor has clicked your link, you can make the page he is going to as elaborate as you wish. You can easily send them to an existing page on your site that you already created for sign ups.
