The Right Way To Surf The Traffic Exchange Sites:
If you are only promoting your website pages in the traffic exchange programs, you are missing the boat.
As with everything, there is a right way and a wrong way to use the traffic exchange programs. Promoting only yourself is definitely the wrong way.
You click and click for credits today. All your credits go to your own website. Tomorrow you have to click and click the same amount of times to get the same traffic.
If you promote the traffic exchange sites and refer others, you will be clicking a lot less in the near future.
The Process of Duplication:
All of the traffic exchange programs will allow you to refer other people to their sites and give you credits for doing it. Each time one of your referrals surfs, you are earning views on your site(s).
The more people you refer, the more free views you earn. Eventually you get enough other people surfing for you and your surfing is almost non-existent. Now you get to do something else while your site is still being shown on all the traffic exchange sites.
Mowing Your Lawn:
To give you an example of this process, let's pretend you have a 10 acre lawn. You go out on Saturday morning and start mowing. Sometime around midnight, you are done with your lawn. Next Saturday you have to start all over again.
Now, let's pretend you talked 5 of your friends into helping you mow. Suddenly you are only mowing 2 acres and the job is still getting done. What if you convinced 10 friends to help. Now your job is only to mow one acre.
Now let's say that your 10 friends each had 10 friends that also wanted to mow. With 101 of you mowing your 10 acres, you barley get started and you are done. The same 10 acres got mowed but your job was to mow less that one tenth of one acre. That didn't take you long at all.
So, How Are You Going To Get This Help?
I don't know if you can find anyone to help you with your lawn. I do know you can easily get a lot of people to help you with your surfing.
Instead of only promoting your site(s) pages, you need to promote the traffic exchanges too. The ideal thing for you to do is only promote the traffic exchanges until you get a lot of referrals. This means you are getting a lot of free, effortless traffic. Then start promoting your own site(s).
I realize most people aren't willing to work for what looks like No Traffic. So, try promoting the traffic exchange sites at least half of the time. At Least!
If you are a member of Traffic Hoopla, you should be promoting them as often as you can. They will get you the sign ups in all the other programs with one simple promotion. (If you aren't a member of Traffic Hoopla, join them now) I promote my Traffic Hoopla referral link over 50% of the time and I get new sign ups on the top 5 programs every day. The promo page I use is this: http://traffichoopla.com/cgi-bin/p6.cgi/XXXXX/ It works like a charm.
Before you know it, you will have a lot of other people doing your job for you. You will get the same traffic for a fraction of the effort.
I know it will be hard, at first, to do all that clicking and not see much traffic to your site(s). You have to look at the long term results. You can either surf the same today and tomorrow and everyday for the rest of your life or you can promote the traffic exchange sites for a while and then just sit back and watch the traffic roll in.
It's up to you but you have to realize the second option is the smart way to do things.
